The technical platform that connects everything

A fail-safe system for reliable assistance in emergency situations

In an emergency, every second counts. But that’s not all. It is also crucial to ensure that every emergency call reliably reaches the emergency services.

Maximum speed and high reliability are therefore the key requirements for the technical platform that links the mobile app , the emergency call servers, and control centres with one another.

The RSQnow emergency communication infrastructure is based on state-of-the-art software technologies and a server architecture designed with multiple redundancies, which operates according to the principles of event sourcing and leaderless replication.

Encryption and IT security

As emergency calls often contain sensitive data, handling them requires a particularly high level of data protection. For this reason, all data is encrypted during transmission and stored in an encrypted format on the emergency call servers.

All emergency call data is consistently protected against external attacks. Internally, RSQnow is developed in accordance with the dual-control principle, and the source code is also audited externally.

Emergency call routing

What happens after an emergency call is sent? A complex routing process ensures that each call is directed to the appropriate control centre. The relevant control centre is determined based on the location and details of the emergency. If a control centre fails or becomes overloaded, or in cases of planned downtime, incoming emergency calls are redirected to an alternative centre. This ensures that no emergency call goes unprocessed.

Emergency calls can also be shared with other control centres as required, either if further support is needed to handle an emergency or if other control centres need to be informed about an emergency.
